Story behind the song and recording:
While a young guitarist on the road with Motown Legends Ashford & Simpson, I paid close attention to the records they made with Dianna Ross and always wanted to create a contemporary song & production that paid homage to their genius.
As the lyric evolved during the making of the record, the vocalist LaJuan Carter came back three times to re-sing lead and background parts to insure the songs message had more emotional impact.
