Story Behind The Song
I kept getting invited as a guest singer with a local band to sing one song - 'Jamaica Farewell' - and having all the other brilliant songs I'd written totally ignored. Since I'd got into the area of political/social content, the idea of writing a love song was almost revolutionary, so why not do it to a calypso rythm? After that, it wrote itself.

She got ?most everything you can think of
And in the evening when the sun goes down
I don?t need nobody else aroun?
Chorus
She beautiful my calypso queen
She just the best thing that you ever seen
She Number One in all my schemes
She the Queen of all my Dreams

And when the ship come in and we reach the sand
My Mary Jane take me by the hand
Set me down under coco tree
