Story Behind The Song
I was in need of tuning out the noise and tuning into myself - and right on time a sabbatical of isolation was forced upon me. This song, and 11 others that comprise the CD "Songs From Paradise" were born as a result of this sabbatical. The location where it took place: an isolated cabin in the Chirocahua Mountains in the tiny village of Paradise, Arizona.
Song Description
When you turn down the noise you can hear it. We all are vibrating at our core to the essential truths of justice, good, our oneness and need for each other; when the world's gone nuts, it's time to turn back our attention to the sound that is inside our hearts and unites us all.

Lyrics
Songs From Paradise
Let's see if we remember songs we all know etched forever
Deep into our souls
I read on an old scroll that we learned them long ago before we learned how to be
At each others' throats
They don't play them on the air and yet they're everywhere
Hidden in the wind and trees, and in us too
Let's dig 'em up, they'll make us new
We've gone way too long without those
Songs from Paradise
Imagine us together at a musical affair on a mountaintop
With eagles nesting there
I read on an old scroll that we did that long ago
Before we learned how to be at each other's throats
They don't play them on the air and yet they're everywhere
Hidden in the soil and sea, and you and me
Let's dig 'em up, they're what we need
We've gone way too long without those
Songs from Paradise
They don't play them on the air and yet they're everywhere
Hidden in the soil and sea, and you and me
Let dig 'em up, they're what we need
We've gone way too long
And things have gone too wrong
'Cause we've gone way too long
Without those Songs from Paradise
