Smartest Woman

Story Behind The Song

The smartest woman that I know, Kate, discovered she had a bad eye disease and was losing her sight. The song started there and grew into a song (for my niece's future) that would elevate how women are perceived in society.

Lyrics

Smartest woman that I know
Bright blue eyes, how could they go

Our problem overwhelm us
Our temptations overcome us
We focus on the wrong things
We focus on the songs we sing
What really matters, what really counts
Our children matter, our friends count

Taste so fine
Style refined
Don't give in
Look to win

The love we have to give and get
Will never go blind
The love we have to give and get
Stronger this time

The smartest woman that I know
Bright blue eyes, how could they go

The Lord is always with us
He will always show us
This is a prayer for you
Kate, this is my prayer for you

For you
My prayer
My Lord, my God
