I heard a pastor say he forgets day to day to watch for Jesus. I knew that would be a worthy song, a reminder of what is coming!
Song Description
Since no man knows the minute or hour He will appear, it is pretty important to consider the depths of that statement, found in Matthew 25:13. After all, "the world we know will change, the trumpet will sound... (and) mystery revealed...". The song urges us to be vigilant as the tower watchman, without distraction. Day or nite, keep that candle in the window burning brightly, if only figuratively. Verse three points to this happening "in a moment,in the twinkling of an eye", 1 Cor 15:51-52. It is easy to go on about our business sure that it won't be THIS moment. Hence Watching For Jesus is just a good darn idea. Presented musically in a revival sound brings it home to days of heavy attendance in revivals. This along with the message of the song shows the need for this urgency today and any day.
