Story Behind The Song
Written as a samba originally, Chainsaw got hold of it and put a funk bassline on it, after which we added a dixieland horn section with sax/trombone/trumpet that gave it a very fun, hybrid feel. Vocal is slithering but lovable jazz-rap.
Song Description
Song about the various pleasures of and pitfalls of Bourbon Street and late-night partying in general, with a humorous catchphrase that also pokes fun at the Catholicism of New Orleans, "...welcome sinners, to Bourbon Street."

Lyrics
N.O.
When you don't know
What or who you done
You can't tell
Where or what you been
Welcome sinners!
To Bourbon Street
Sun shines just a
Little bright you say
Have one more!
I think I might you say
Welcome sinners!
To Bourbon Street
When a sliver
Of this city
Gets under your skin
No use to pity
The state you're in
Tomorrow will forget
Your sins
And you'll just
Start again
When a city
Spells its name N-O
Every "yes" denies the status quo
Rebel wishes
Pave Bourbon Street
French makes everything
Seem sensible
Anything becomes
Defensible
Pardon me my friend
On Bourbon Street
When a sliver
Of this city...
...
When you don't know...
