Quirky yet melodic.
Really well put-together piece with top-notch instrumentation and arrangement. Really good intro. Really good and catchy chorus. Piece at the 1:10 mark is very effective.
cool song, good job
Alternative is a good fit for this track. I found that the vocalist had a unique tone and thought there were some really cool instruments used. Liked the lyrics.
Great instrumental build in the intro of this songs and then: Whooaah, this is Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt, "In the Hall of the Mountain King" in a rock arrangement! The androgynous vocal sound adds to the air of mystery and quirkiness of this tune. I went back and listened a several times and this tune really grows on you.
I suppposed there's a reason why the verses borrow the melody Grieg's Hall Of Mountain King. After all, it must be public domain by now.
The song is well recorded and performed, although I can't say it really convinced me overall. Grieg's melody eclipsed all the rest, because is so strong, catchy and known - so it remains in the head much more than the rest. I find the Archetypal Supersexiness topic boring and overused. Formally, feels professional enough, maybe the voice is mixed slightly too much. But I usually get wrong the mixing [along with all the rest], so I'm not sure about it. Looks like I'm a nasty reviewer today.
good structured pop with a raw rock punkish flavour and style. has a blondie vibe . good theme .
Good original work. They lyrics and arrangement work well together to create an edgy sound and mood.Good dynamics help to successfully put this song together well.
unique song
cool sound, espec. love the Grieg/Hall of the Mountain King chord progression in the verses and intro... i'd categorize as alternative/rock, not pop sound-wise. i enjoyed it a lot, clever writing.
This is postmodern pop, right? I think this works well. I dig the transition from "Hall of the Mountain King" to the alt-rock chorus. Well played.
