Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song back in 1962 when I was working my first "job" as a bus boy in an ice cream parlor. I convinced the owner to let me perform on Sunday afternoons....so I wanted a signature song to play so I wrote this song...AGAIN, back in 1964. This song has had some very different attitudes. When I played it in the late 60's and 70's, it was a tribute to the street dealers who worked the street corners ... but things ARE MUCH different now.
Anyway, I always met to do a studio version of the song with a Little Feat feel to it....and here it is. I hope you enjoy it. It is just fun and a good dance song!
