This appears to be a song about a famous person married to a not-so-famous person who always gets the "leftovers", which is kind of sad. Seems like I've read a few novels with this theme. Awful to be the one left behind. This song expresses it well. Stellar instrumentation. Crystal clear vocals. I especially like the beachy sound around Malibu.
I love the Latin/Jimmy Buffet sound to this. Nice groove and rhythm. Instrumental choics are perfect for this song. Great keyboard entrance and performance. You have done a pretty good job on this song and it has great potential.
Well arranged and melodic pop/rock with a bit of country thrown in for good measure. Solid vocal performance and good movement between the sections.
I love the vocal quality. The chorus is really good.
Wow, very big guitars and professional sound. It went from a lounge act to Jimmy Buffet.
I like the sound of the music and especially how the drums sound - very cool - I like the rhythm guitar as well.
Nice Intro with chords that draw you in. Nice vocal with thoughtful lyrics. The change ups in this song are creative and lend an interest to the song. Orchestration is supplemental and not obtrusive. Harmonies are supportive and well done. The mix is well done with a nice spread and attentions to the balance of pitch ranges the provide a nice separation of the instruments and voices. Very nicely done work!
Awesome song. Very well recorded. The vocal is impeccable!!
musically sounded good. decent recording
Retro-sounding pop song. Good flow to the arrangement, especially the verse to chorus transition. Chorus itself is quite uplifting. Quite a full instrumental arrangement, good rhythmic flow too. Good vocal performance.
Sneaks in a feel good, laid-back vibe here. Nice chorus, makes me imagine the surf along Californian coastl. Singer has a touch of Randy Newman in the voice.
