Lyrics
Disillusioned
The sky is dark tonight and the moon is low
I know it?s time to leave but I don?t know just where I?ll go
?Cause I can?t find my way alone
I feel you next to me but I don?t know just what to say
How is it we were closer when we were three thousand miles away
And now we can?t find the words today
I remember when it used to be
That I could see your soul when you smiled at me
I could see the things you held inside
Just by taking a look into those beautiful eyes
But those days have died
I?ve tried to let you go while I?m still hanging on
?Cause I can?t bear the thought of you ever really being gone
And I?m scared that I can?t go on
Why must I push you away when I think that I need you here
Are the feelings that I feel right now just reflecting my constant fear
Of a future that?s never clear
I remember when it used to be
That I could see your soul when you smiled at me
I could see the things you held inside
Just by taking a look into those beautiful eyes
But those days have died
Couldn?t we just continue to try
It could work ? no, I know that?s a lie
Why is this all tearing me apart
When it?s my own damn choice to lock up my heart
And just watch us die
I can?t watch us die
