Story Behind The Song
This is the intonation of Percy Bysshe Shelley's "To The Moon" poem no. I.
Song Description
This is my first atonal song as a music composition freshman. It is very hard to sing and requires a (mezzo)soprano with an excellent ear. The pianist is my husband, David Lyons, and the singer is Allison Spiller.

Lyrics
To the Moon
By Percy Bysshe Shelley
I
Art thou pale for weariness
Of climbing heaven and gazing on the earth,
Wandering companionless
Among the stars that have a different birth, --
And ever changing, like a joyless eye
That finds no object worth its constancy?
