Timeless

Story Behind The Song

I used to host a medical television show and was inspired by one very special couple. Married 35 years, still living in the first house they built and raised their kids in, Jack and Fran were just as in love the day of our interview as the day they walked down the aisle together. And they had taken daily walks ever since; that's what Jack told me, holding up their wedding picture as he described with passion his wife's desperate state after being struck down by a speeding car. A large portion of her skull pulverized, she suddenly could not enunciate words nor walk and would undergo two unsuccessful surgeries to replace the misssing bone. Jack refused to listen to doctors who told him she'd never recover, but he finally found a specialist whose perseverance resulted in a miraculous recovery for Fran who walked and spoke to her husband's delight the day I met her. The show's producer recorded me and used the song throughout the piece ending with a montage with the song and vocals in its entirety, Everyone seems to be able to find something herein that they can relate to.

Lyrics

Timeless (3/4 time)

It doesn't seem so very long ago
We took our first walk side by side
From that day on every time I walk with you
I feel filled with pride.

Refrain:
Timeless, you are timesless
And all my time's for you
With every day that passes
My heart grows truer blue
And all my times for you.

Verse 2
Who'd know today as you walk this shore with me
The test of time our love has stood;
Just to be here in your presious company
Is all the things that are good, 'cause you're...

Refrain: Timeless...

Bridge:
The day I thought I'd lost you,
When there seemed no hope in sight,
Now who could think that I would let go of love
Before I put up one more good fight, 'cause you're...

Refrain: Timeless...
Instrumental break
Repeat refrain
