This song was written and originally recorded by Leon McAuliffe who played steel guitar for Bob Wills. I believe the song was originally recorded in the 1940's. A couple of years later Webb Pierce wrote lyrics for the song and recorded it as New Panhandl

3 guitar parts, bass and drums. Applying "modern" guitar techniques to older steel guitar instrumental. I play the 3 guitar parts and the bass. My brother plays the drums.
