Story Behind The Song

This song came to me in my sleep almost fully realized. I was dating a female doctor at the time (hence the healer line) who talked about the stresses of patients dying. The song basically documents my frustration with the relationship. Although I was the one really "reaching".

Song Description

The idea is that we often have love right in front of us but still go "reaching" for it because we failed to recognize it. The idea popped into my head of someone grabbing at thin air only to fall headlong into the abyss.
