Story Behind The Song
While comparing business cards to see who had collected the best one in their travels I lost to a card from the Thousand Islands with a very nice sunset picture. My card was very clever with gears that turned in the exact directions they would turn with some turning right and some turning left. Having lost I had to find out what was so much better. So with a little thought I wrote this song.

Lyrics
Ruby Sunset
Have you ever seen a ruby sunset,
Seen how beautiful evening can get
Sailing boats on the water,
Drifting with the breeze.
Have you ever seen a sky so bright red,
You take the time
ease your mind and clear your head
Need a shoulder to sigh on
Come talk to me.
You gave your all and more
than you had to give
When it's gone you hope
there's just enough left to live
You're searching your mornings
for a brand new day.
It doesn't come and yesterday keeps going on
If time can heal you wonder how long
will this feel wrong
The smile you're giving me is just giving you away.
In your heart you hold all that you have to give
It's no one's fault
It's just the way that you choose to live
A life full of giving with no regret.
From time to time you wonder if it was worth it all
Before you answer I'll be there, give me a call.
We'll find a new day, Watching the sun set.
Drifting with the breeze. Drifting with the breeze
Drifting with the breeze
