Story Behind The Song
O attended one of the tea parties as an American concerned about the excessive spending and bail-outs. Later that evening I saw the news coverage and some not-so humorous comedienne making fun of the people participating. She called them a bunch of "tea bagging rednecks". That was it, I thought well then, maybe we need a Redneck Revolution.

Lyrics
Verse 1
I sure love my country but I don't trust the guys that run it
I've worked way too hard to watch my retirement turn to nothin
Payin all these taxes gets me hot under my blue collar
I don't need the government handin out my hard earned dollars
Lift 1
I'll bend over backwards when someone's on hard times
But bendin over forward is where I draw the line
Chorus
So stand up, stand up come on and join the fight
All my friends and neighbors standing proudly for what's right
I'm not going to sit back while they re-write our Constitution
If we're going to take it back we need a Redneck Revolution
Verse 2
They took away all prayer in school now they want our guns to boot
They sell their votes and sell us out, a congress of ill repute
Our freedom's fading faster with each piece of legislation
I fear the future's lookin dim for the next few generations
Lift 2
They can break my back but they can not break my will
I can take a lot of crap but I think I've had my fill
BRIDGE
Redneck is a state of mind and anyone can come along
So stand up right there where you are and help us sing this song
