Story Behind The Song
Todd Stuart came in with the lyric and we started improvising on the piano. The song wrote itself in about ninety minutes.
Song Description
Somewhere Down The Road is a ballad reminiscent of the Commodores that describes the heartache of missing someone who is gone. The disappearance could be from a breakup, a death, a relocation - it doesn't matter. The ache is what's left.

Lyrics
Can't believe you're really gone
Said goodbye just yesterday
You seem so far away from me
And I wanted you to stay
Where are you, my love?
Where have you gone to?
I want you back with me
I want you in my life
Not a day goes by without you
'cause I see you in my dreams
But you're somewhere down the road
You're somewhere round the bend
And after all that we've been thru
Don't know why it had to end
Never thought I'd be alone
Never thought we'd be apart
I'm kickin' round these broken dreams
Lookin' round this empty heart
Where are you, my love?
Where have you gone to?
I want you back with me
I want you in my life
Not a day goes by without you
'cause I see you in my dreams
Repeat Chorus
Time goes by, but I stand still
Thru summer rain and winter's chill
The night can't stop the light of dawn
With Heaven's help, this love goes on
Repeat Chorus
