Lyrics
Me and My Thyroid ? Stephanie Long August 19, 2007
Glands and hormones in the human body don?t always do what they?re supposed to do.
If you?re feeling blue, or not at all like you, you could have a problem just like I had.
Doctor said I must be menopausal, but other people said, ?Oh no, it?s more!?
I got another doc, did some reading on the web, a simple blood test proved that I wasn?t crazy.
Me and my thyroid didn?t always get along. Because of my thyroid, I decided I would write this song.
My life was out of whack, my hair fell out. I couldn?t sleep, I cried all the time.
Thanks to my thyroid, I had fantasies of murder, I knew that everybody hates me, I was all alone and feeling blue.
The tests are TSH, T3, and T4. They take a little blood and you?re all done.
If the number?s high or low, if your thyroid?s fast or slow, a little pill a day will make it better.
I like my synthroid, a medicine I take each day. My hypo thyroid is balanced now, a very small price to pay.
So if you?re feeling crazed or really itch or can?t figure out why you?re such a bitch.
It might be your thyroid. Call your doc, don?t wait forever, when you could be getting better, quick relief is on the way.
