Lyrics
We're all having Christmas on New Years.
Gonna build a bonfire. And blaze towards the sky.
Right here at home in Virginia.
The kinda night that would light up your life.
You're not the first one to bury their feelings.
And push all their pain to their past.
Become a tourist in the city you claimed nurtured your soul.
You sure as hell won't be the last.
The first steps on a journey to finding yourself
Are the ones that lead straight outta town.
Headed for a nice clean slate in a different state.
Youre settling.
But you're hardly settling down.
It turns out we couldnt be much more different.
Genetics prove certain similarities.
You're so quick to turn in to a stranger.
So thats all I expect you to be.
You're so quick to turn into a stranger.
So that's all I expect you to be.
We're all having Christmas on New Years
Drink bourbon and burn down the tree.
If they say it doesn't get cold down in Dixie.
They're just a yankee that can't handle this heat.
If they say it doesnt get cold down it Dixie
They're just a yankee that can't handle this heat.
