Lyrics
A MESSAGE FOR MARY
The Angel Gabriel was sent by God to see
the maiden, young and pure, and picked by God to be
the mother of His son, whose light would guide our way.
This message Gabri'l gave to Mary on that day,
but first he greeted her, "Hail Mary, full of grace,"
as Mary gazed in awe at Gabri'l's smiling face.
"The Lord is with you now," the angel did attest;
"among all women here, young Mary, you are blest.
Joseph the carpenter will soon be wed to thee,
and then, God hath decreed, a mother you will be.
This child, the Son of God, whose name shall be Jesu`,
from Heaven will descend to walk the earth with you."
"Behold," the maiden said, "a servant of the Lord.
These things shall come to pass, according to God's word." Then shall the angels sing the world's most joyous hymn, about the message that the angel brought with him, that in a bed of straw, on early Christmas morn, our Saviour, Jesus Christ, to Mary would be born!
Refrain:
Archangel Gabriel, what joyful news you bring,
of Mary and her newborn Son, Our Savior, Christ the
King! Our Saviour, Christ the King!
