Story Behind The Song
I wrote this one day when I was totally frustrated with the feeling about not feeling, being enough as a woman and all the doubt and chatter that goes on in my brain.
Song Description
This song is playful and insightful and about not listening to what my ego says about my accomplishments and myself in general. And How annoying it actually is just seducing with its false promises and lies and also it's judgements.
It's one of the most fun songs on the EP.

Lyrics
The Queens Bridge
There she sits on her throne, by a river all alone.
Fetid breath, tilted crown, she wears more makeup than a clown.
She guards her bridge like a troll, I'm her puppet, I'm her fool.
She's my Lucy, I'm Charlie Brown. She's gonna hold that football down.
Why do I keep coming back and listening to you?
All the things your telling me have never been true.
Why do I keep coming back and why do I keep listening to you?
Whyyyyyyy?
She whispers and she spews, her twisted point of views.
My blemishes her cause, her treasures are my flaws.
I've got to get away, across her bridge someday.
Cause I'm hurting on this side, believing all her lies.
Why do I keep coming back and listening to you?
All the things your telling me have never been true.
Why do I keep coming back and why do I keep listening to you?
Whyyyyyyy?
I'm not wine and dining you anymore. ?You keep your bridge. I'm locking this door.
No more, no more, no more no no no no no no no more.
She says "Hey kid you gotta light, take it slow, ?There's still some things you might wanna know,
Like where's my bridge go? You know I'm your friend. ?I got your back till the very, very, very end.
No, no more lies today. I found me a better way.
Despite the words you spew,
I know my heart is good and true.
Her riverbed runs dry and I walk to the other side.
Whistling as I go. She's not the queen, it's my show.
?Here I am, I'm ok. I'm enough this way.
No more lies today.
