Story Behind The Song
I wrote this for my wife, who cried the first time I played it for her.
This song was included on a Music for the Troops compilation CD in 2008.
Song Description
The woman is a flirt, but is faithful to him. The woman is a modern woman, or, at least, not old-fashioned. She is intelligent and outspoken, to the point of annoyance at times. She demands her space and her freedom to achieve whatever her dreams may be,even if ultimately they do not include the man in her life, because this is her life, and no one else's. Knowing that the very strength he admires most may ultimately result in their going their separate ways, the man still loves her unconditionally, because, in his mind, true love today outlasts any future suffering that may come.

Lyrics
This is her moment and her youth
And she will do as she pleases.
She will rattle sabres, call up the winds,
and smash down the miscreants.
And when she's done,
She will come
Back to me
For it is my love
She has chosen to receive.
Well she has guys all around her
Yes she has fans everywhere.
Just like me, they're taken by her beauty, her personality, and her long dark flowing hair.
Though I admit, I feel a twinge, of jealousy,
I know without a doubt,in her heart there is only me.
CHORUS:
And I feel lucky, so lucky, So very very lucky
To have such a precious one, Such a precious one,
Such a precious one.
Well she will gather up the statements,
And she will cast out all the lies.
And she will crush the Opposition, with just one look from her eyes.
She's ever changing, ever knowing, always feeling, ever growing, all-evolving, and ever needing to be free.
And let there be no doubt, she is everything, everything to me.
CHORUS.
CHORUS.
