Lyrics
Here in the fall
The leaves are slowly falling
Like the snow that's soon to follow
As the rain makes little rivers
That carries them away
The air is filled with memories
I can smell with every breath
And I imagine we are walking hand in hand
Here in the fall
The geese are softly calling
Through the grey and clouded skies
As the cold and angry northern wind
Leads them on their way
The fields have turned to gold
Like my faded wedding band
And I long to feel the lips that I first kissed
Here in the fall
The Iron Gate is broken
And the path is barely showing
As I walk down to the water
And stare across the bay
I can feel your arms around me
And hear your promise to return
As I close my eyes and watch you wave goodbye
Here in the fall
