Story Behind The Song
It is so easy for me to be blinded by what I see. Doubt, fear, anger, and frustration because of all the evil that is in this world can make me lose grip of my faith. "Dear God" poses the question of "why" to God, and at the same time acknowledges that He is in control and working all things together for good.
Song Description
"Dear God" asks the "why" question and challenges with what our response to God should be.

Lyrics
Dear God
Verse Dear God, are You listening?
Dear God, are You there?
I?ve been wondering lately,
What You might have to say
About all the struggles and pain. Is it fair?
Verse Dear God, can You hear me?
Dear God, are You really what You say?
Creator of the universe, Maker of all things
I just don?t seem to understand.
Help me to understand,
Understand Your way.
Verse Dear God, can You help me?
Dear God, sometimes my doubt
Just takes control.
Blessed are those that believe,
But have not seen.
Lord, can You show me?
Is there any in between?
I mean no dishonor,
But I?m blind by what I see, Dear God.
Bridge I am just a man who seeks Your heart.
Searching as my world falls apart.
Hoping for a chance to see Your face.
I?m astounded by Your gift of grace.
Solo
Verse Dear God, do You love me?
Dear God, why do You even care?
When I just ignore You,
I don?t have the time to spare.
I hope You?ll forgive me,
When I come to see You there.
I pray You?ll forgive me,
Your love?s beyond compare.
Dear God.
I pray You?ll forgive me,
When I come to see You there.
