Story Behind The Song
I feel that this is one of my more poetic songs. It's short and simple yet portrays so much of my vulnerability. As a human being, I don't think you've lived until you've felt the full spectrum of emotions. This is definitely from the darker side. I don't know what it was in reference to but I had seen the word "firefly" in a friend's status update on Facebook one day, and it must have seeped into me on a subconscious level. This song was like an alarm that went off in the middle of the night and practically wrote itself.
Song Description
What is the one thing that could rescue the human spirit when all seems to be lost? Hope. This song is about finding the kind of hope that hides in the comfort of happiness, and only appears when you need it most. In your darkest hour, you must cling to that glimmer of hope with every ounce of your will and never let go.

Lyrics
Firefly. In the night sky. You're so beautiful. Won't you stay a while? Firefly. You shine so bright. A glimmer of hope in my darkest hour. | CHORUS Can I capture your light? And hold you beside me. Constantly near me. Keeping my fears away. Firefly, please stay. | Firefly. There's no moon tonight. The shadows consume me. Won't you stay 'til dawn? Oh, Firefly. My heart grows cold. I need your magical glow 'til the clouds have gone. | CHORUS | Firefly. In the night sky. My glimmer of hope. Won't you stay?
