Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song lyrically with a bit of irony in mind. I finally found a great woman who had everything I wanted in a girl and she can't make up her mind whether to be with me or not. On the music side, I wanted to pen a catchy 12 bar with a slightly different hook. So I found a climb from the V chord that didn't resolve back to the I chord right away. I sort of held it off for a little bit longer kind of like she was doing to me. Ahh irony!

Lyrics
YOU SAY YOU WILL (c) 2005 D.C.GILLOGLY
V1
YOU SAY YOU WILL
YOU SAY YOU WILL THEN DON'T
YOU THINK YOU KNOW
YOU THINK YOU KNOW YOU DON'T
I TRY SO HARD
TO GET YOU BACK TO MY LOVIN' ARMS
V2
YOU COULD YOU DON'T
YOU COULD AND YET YOU WON'T
YOU SHOULD YOU WON'T
YOU COULD AND YET YOU DON'T
SO I STAY COOL
AND TRY TO CONVINCE YOU'LL DO RIGHT TO DO
V3
YOU WON'T DO WHAT
YOU SAY YOU REALLY WANT
YOU DON'T GO FOR
WHAT'S IN YOUR HEART OF HEARTS
JUST DO WHAT YOU
HAVE BEEN SAYIN' WHAT YOU REALLY WANT
V4
YOU KNOW I KNOW
HOW I KNOW YOU'LL NEVER KNOW
I KNOW YOU KNOW
HOW YOU KNOW I'LL NEVER KNOW
I TRY SO HARD
TO GET YOU BACK INTO MY LOVIN' LOVIN ARMS
