Story Behind The Song

When we were created in the image of God one of the defining characteristics was the ability - even the necessity to communicate. The Bible tells us that God would come in the cool of the evening and talk with the man and women in the garden. He has never lost that desire - nor have we His creatures though we may have trouble articulating it as such. Though it may be expressed in a variety of misguided ways, man still has that need to communicate with Someone who understands our position and can empathize with our weaknesses. We need to know that Someone still has control when our world seems to be so out-of-control. Loneliness is an experience that can drive the human spirit to the brink of insanity. Knowing that, Jesus promised His disciples that He would not leave them to be alone, but that He would send the Comforter to guide them in all their ways. Each day we need to take some time to be in communication with our Creator. Our very lives depend on it.
