this song originally was recorded and conceived as a rock song. the recording and mix of the rock version ended earlier than anticipated and with the extra time a piano version was recorded, oddly, mostly in 7/4 time. strings were then added arranged and conducted by Alejandro Teran and now most people prefer this version to the rock version. i'm ok with that.
