Once upon time in a land far way
children would gather round the fire at the end of the day
they would hear stories of heros and dragons and kings
and act out the stories and play

but now children's play is cold and alone
electronic gizmos and shoot 'em up games
Hours of time on that handheld device
can make children's hearts colder then ice

Read them a story when you put 'em to bed

Mothers and fathers look out for your girls and boys
they look to you for hope, love and care
don't baby sit children with video games
give 'em a hug don't let them dispair

Put down that computer and joystick handle
read them some aseop or a fairy tale
give them the wonder that they deserve
and show them the castles in the air

don't ever let children out on their own
watch for their hearts everyday
show them the magic and wonder of life

hunt for buried treasure and put away that toy robot
