Preludio

Story Behind The Song

Shilakowsky decided to rock out Bach. Bach wrote the original in the 1600's to show that the violin could play and accompany itself, negating the need for an ensemble. Shilakowsky's motive is to combine his abilities as a classically trained violinist with his talent at arranging and producing.

Song Description

virtuosic performance on the electric violin of Johann Sebastian Bach's Preludio, the first movement of his Partita #3 in E Major for unaccompanied violin. This performance is played on electric violin joined by Shilakowsky's virtual band tracks, aka the S-band. Featured on the track is a heavy metal guitar, rock drums, bass, and piano. Light (chorusing and reverb) effects are added to the electric violin sound.
