Story Behind The Song
Many of the guys in the band grew up singing this song around the campfire with friends and family. We simply added the lyrics to a tune we were already working on and added a third verse to spice things up. It was written and recorded at Hewn House Studios in Madison Wisconsin

Lyrics
My name is Yon Yonson
& I come from Wisconsin
Where I work in the lumberyard there
When I walk down the street
All the people I meet
Say, "Hello what is your name"
My name is Yon Yonson
& I come from Wisconsin
Where I work in the lumberyard there
When I walk down the street
All the people I meet
Say, "Hello, for what do you care"?
I eat venison sausage
In a town of old Mauston
Where the ladies are pretty and fare
& I left that sad place
When I had my fair taste
Of all that Beaver Damn hair
