Story Behind The Song

I came up with the hook a while back for a song I was referencing for another artist. The deal fell through and I had forgotten about it. Several years later I heard the song again and decided to remake it. I decided on going with a more classical feel (ie. pianos, strings) and having it build into a more electronic song by the end. I wrote the lyrics one night when I was at my girlfriends house. I was up all night trying to be quiet as to not wake her up, but still finish the song.

Song Description

IlldotLogic is singing about falling for a woman who is unique, special, and not like other girls. He sings to her about traveling the world together and how things would seem useless without her. Musically, the song has a base of pianos, strings, simple drums, bass, and an arpeggiated synthesizer. The song gets bigger on the hook with more percussion, and on the second part of the hook, the tempo cuts in half and the bass is replaced by TR 808 synth bass drums. The outro of the song goes more electronic and the vocals are vocoded to give a robotic effect.
