Story Behind The Song

I composed this beat and almost immediately starting coming up with lyrics as I was making the beat. As I finished the song everything seemed to fall into place.

Song Description

The song is about a man trying to convince a woman that she should become exclusive with him and stop seeing the other guys she's dating. The man is conflicted because he knows that the girl isn't good for him but he still wants more. The soundscape to the song is 1990s boom bap hip hop with gated synthesizers and a funky bassline. The singing has a very laid back feel, as if the man is someone indifferent about the situation but would still like it to turn out for the best.
