Story Behind The Song

I was trying to make a song similar to another song I had made sometime before when I came up with the chord progression. I asked Jason (co-producer) to play some guitar and bass on the track and it came out sounding very big. I wrote the hook on the spot and the verses sometime later.

Song Description

A guy is constantly done wrong by his girlfriend. She lies, cheats, is bitter toward him whenever he wants so spend time with her. She uses him emotionally and physically but isn't there for him. The guy finally decides to get up and leave and feels amazing. Musically the song has a simple chord progression played with some pads and backed up with acoustic guitar and electric bass guitar. The song gets bigger in the hook with a string section. The song gets progressively more interactive as the song goes on.
