Story Behind The Song
I was driving home from work one day and the phrase "zebra running with a band of horses" just popped into my head. I was playing around with some sounds on the keyboard and then I started playing this really 90s sounding dance progression and I decided to build off that. The hook progression was just amazing to me. I ended up making two parts to this song.
Song Description
Zebra Part I is an uptempo feeling song about not being afraid to be different and encouraging everyone to be themselves. The beat was inspired by 90s dance music. The song starts out with a four on the floor drum pattern and a TB-303 synthesizer progression. The song builds and more percussion comes in. The bridge comes in and has a completely different feel which transitions to the hook which has a very moody chord progression.
