Daisy Afternoon

Story Behind The Song

Adapted from an original poem in a birthday/anniversary card given to my girlfriend, and then put to song which was performed at our wedding.

Song Description

My wife's favorite flower is the gerber daisy which was used at our wedding. So, this song is a sort of comparison of her to the flower and whatever the weather may have brought to the wedding day.

Lyrics

there are roses that are red,
and yet sometimes they come out pink.
don?t forget the sun makes yellow,
then there?s antique white,
i think.

but whether daisy; whether rose,
with brilliance they still lack,
all the love,
and the color,
you will always give back.

there are days the sun shines brightly,
yet sometimes with clouds they rain.
don?t forget the cool and breezy,
then there?s humid just the same.

but whether rainy; whether shine,
with brilliance they still lack,
all the love,
and the color,
you will always give back.

on this daisy afternoon,
as you radiate the room,
i am sure i?ll never lack,
all the love, and the color,
you will always give back.
