Story Behind The Song

This song is part of a series of pastoral care songs for kids to either listen to or sing along with each other in a school environment. 'Beautiful Day' encourages children and young adults to use music as a strategy in order to consciously change their mood, from sad to happy, or agitated to relaxed. Different types of music are very effective in achieving this. 'Beautiful Day' is a happy, energetic piece which is meant to be a mood enhancer - 'You can chose to smile not to cry.'
