Cradled With Love ©

Mother and Father, Mommy and Dad
I'm the luckiest fellow that God ever had
And I want you to know it as you look from above
All the things I remember are cradled with love

--Refrain--
Cradled with love, cradled with love
These are the things that I'm thinking of
The times that you listened, when I'd nothing to say
And the fear that I felt on your dying day
----------

Father and Mother, Daddy and Mom
It seems that I love you more now that you're gone
It runs in my spirit and it runs in my blood
All the things I remember are cradled with love

--Refrain--
Cradled with love, cradled with love
These are the things that I'm thinking of
The times that you played catch and the times that I cried
And the way that I've missed you, since the day that you died
-------------------

--Refrain--
Cradled with love, cradled with love
These are the things that I'm thinking of
So Mother and Father, Mommy and Dad
I'm the luckiest fellow that God ever had
The luckiest fellow that God ever had

Excellent song. A story that we all share. Well sung. Great production piece. Well done.

Great folk/country song or what ever genre you slot yourself into. Not the kinda of music I usually listen to but this really is a good song/recording. I totally love the warmth of the recording. Sounds very analogue or there was the use of a really good tube mic compressor & high end condenser mic. If I could only get quality vox and acoustic sounds like this. Nice job. Really enjoyed listening.

I particularly like the Gordon Lightfoot-like vocal delivery! Nice.

Great song. Gave a calm relaxing vibe as we rode down memory lane with you.

I like the sound of the rhythm guitar and I also like the lead vocals, sounds a little like Charlie Pride.

Very original lyrics well sung with a good hook. Nice message.

Beautiful guitar complimented with a very sincere and warm vocal performance. Well done!

SIMPLY PUT--BEAUTIFUL COMPOSITION--5 stars from me--glad I got to review this song today--touched my soul and spirit--THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS SONG!--CHEERS--JOE.

This is a really traditional Folk song, which I always enjoy.
There is nowhere to hide when it's just a man and his guitar. The irony is that it can sometimes be more powerful than a full band. Great voice and instrumentation. I really like the harmonies during the chorus.

Wow, this is one of the best songs I have heard on BJ. Wow. Maybe it's because my parents are 88 and 90 and my dad is on his last leg, it just really tugged on my heartstrings. The song is heartfelt, beautifully written, simply executed, totally understandable and real, oh so REAL. The guitar picking was absolutely lovely. Recording: perfect. I would like to know what kind of a guitar you were playing, what key, and did you have a capo on...it was so pretty; I love that kind of picking. The word pictures, though simple, were so familiar, like playing catch and talking about nothing in particular. "I'm the luckiest fella God ever had." What a sweet, fun and original line! Five stars, buddy!

Excellent all the way around. Good lyrics, tune, instrument work, and vocals. Well mixed and proof that things don't have to get too complicated to be good.
