Lyrics

Love 'em
©Jeffrey C. Ashbaker 2-2014

Beware of the guy using his time
Putting down people and telling big lies
Welcome the man who searches for peace
Hurting nobody, just shooting the breeze
I hope we hear them clear as a bell
I hope the waters rise from the well

Notice the girl standing so tall
Saying the right things and doing it all
See the old lady, head pointing down
Waiting for something, she's never found
Can we guess who's weak or strong
Can we say who's right or wrong

--Chorus--
Love 'em, don't judge 'em
Till you stand there among 'em
And you see their world from another view
If hearts have been broken, then words must be spoken
Time is all that's left to lose
Love is always right to choose

-Solo Verse Break-

Look at me, I sing and I play
Making up songs, day after day
Think about her, she digs in the dirt
It's not just a hobby, it's more like a church
And you can say just what you will
I'll be Jack and she'll be Jill

--Repeat Chorus--

"Its more like a churchNice country song well produced clear and strong nice job

Nice country song. Good instrumentation and nice vocal delivery. Pro produced

The song has a very smooth groove about it

I'm always impressed by the quality of your stuff

This has a really Killer Country sound, nice lead vocal too. The instrumentation is perfect for the tune! It's well recorded and probably universally true in theme!

Pleasant tune, cleanly recorded.

Really nicely written and performed song Jeffrey!! Lyrics are deep and thoughtful....refreshing to hear that!! Production/instrumentation/vocal all are very good. Everything works from my perspective. Good stuff!!

I really like this artist's voice, very rich and warm

Tone on the lead guitar I s cool
Two voices fit together well
Ac guitar is clean
Lyrics are ok, but the hook didn't catch me

COOL VOICE GOOD PLAYING

Nice job on the recording. I love the guitar- country but definite blues influence. Definite opportunity for placement in a tv or film. Really well done!!

This song grows on you as you listen. Great tune.

The intro is a solid thought and carried out well. The vocals are on pitch. Instrumentation is fundamentally great groundwork and completes the overall feeling of the song. The mix is not full of highs which is good to prevent 'ear burn' from a bad EQ mix. The flow is great. The song is remenecant of older country with a good feel.

Love the drum beat intro it has that native American flavor, this song delivers a great message the writer is a very good story teller and word smith. I can definitely see this song in a film or in one of those movies on the Life Time Channel. Great guitar work the instrumentation and vocals blend very well.

The lyrics are the strongest part.

Good opening on acoustic guitar reminiscent of Neil Young's Heart of Gold era. Nice lead guitar with steel effect throughout. Evenly paced male vocal with a pleasant tone, a little bit of grit mixed with honey. Well placed instrumental break. Good female backing vocal. A pleasing melody. Overall an effective mix using limited instrumental resources.

Nice JJ feel... great guitar work. Loved the female baking vocal.. added a lot... nice timing...

Great vocals. Nice lyrics. Good instrumentation. Nice guitar lead.
