Walk on down to Lubber Run
Starting of at North Emerson
Up to Barrett and Page Ogeltree
I think I saw you, when I thought about me
Mama used to call us as the moon would rise
Whistle on her lips meant come on home you guys
I think I hear now, that song that she sung
As I talk I walk on down to Lubber Run

Buying strawberries from the hogyman
Why I heard that, I can't understand
Carrying Pooky or a baseball glove
Searching for treasure, always finding love
Even though that was some time ago
The voices still call to me, "Come on, let's go"
And in my mind, thank God, I'm still young
So I talk & walk on down to Lubber Run

---Chorus---
So play for me my child, while your day is new
Don't think about the future, it's here for me not you
You'll still have my memory, when your time does come
So won't you race, don't walk on down to Lubber Run
-------------------------
Baloney sandwich and a bag of chips
A glass of milk and some carrot sticks
Hiding and a seeking all around the block
From the old mailbox down to alligator rock
And yes that was yesterday
And everyone reminds me I can't live that way
Living in the past, I'll get nothing done
But I can talk & walk on down to Lubber Run

You're a great story teller. You're voice is perfect for this genre

pleasant sound, nicely played guitar and violin, no problems

I like the vocal very much.. a very strong voice that sells the song with conviction. The backing vocals are lovely, as the female voice contrasts nicely with the lead vocal. Very tight playing all round. Entertaining lyrics.

Beautiful vocals and well arranged and recorded. The lyrics are great. This song has nice harmonies. The violin is a nice touch. This great listening music!!!!

Loved the feel, the groove, the arrangement/production. The fiddle is a really nice touch. Superb vocal - a deep resonant voice. Evokes memories of lost youth.

Full of American imagery, very clearly expressed. Don't understand the narrative but perhaps that evocation of Americana is the narrative - not being American, I don't necessarily get it. Musically, it seems efficiently and attractively presented but I would definitely see this as country music in style.

Your mood is immediately perceptive. It is like oil on the soul. The duets are tasteful, and perceptive. Love the fill, really nice writing.

a wonderfully executed look back through reminiscent dreams of yesteryear.

What a lovely melody, what a pleasant singing voice, and what beautiful instrumentation. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. It is a song I can hear again and again with great enjoyment.

4.5 great vocals and the fiddle player is nicely in the pocket. Percussion sounds synth a bit and I would enjoy letting a jazz drummer have it... nice guitar and fiddle work.

There is a lot of good stuff going on in this song. The instrumentation is very good and the flow and feel is very excellent. The storyline is very unique and cool. The vocals are very solid.
I really like the feel and want the band contributes.
