Good tribute song!
again, a very good song
A fine tune indeed, well constructed, performed and recorded. Has an anthemic character. -- Love the vocal quality, the subtle harmony accompaniment, the effectively simple harmonica break ala Mr. Zimmerman -- the overall message.
I loved it, loved it, loved it. Let me first say this is not my genre of music that I listen too. But thank you so much for this. I found myself really enjoying this song. I find that as a song composer trying to expand my horizons, songs like this explains why all musicians should listen to other genres. This is definitely the kind of song our nation needs today. Thank you.
we need more songs like this more than ever! Thanks!
I love folk music like this...honest vocals sound so real and engaging. Almost has the feel of a sea shanty, definitely a song of appreciation for the immigrants who came over to make this country what it is today. Woody Guthrie would probably like this song...the first verse of your song reminded me of "This Land is Your Land." Nice guitar, bass and harmonica...all flows seamlessly through the song. I like the nod to Anchors Aweigh in the ending harmonics!
Nice song. Very enjoyable. Crosses over a few genres. Start with Folk though. Balanced production with Vocals out front.
I liked the melody, it fit the vocal and the story of the song.
