Long ago our native land was filled with mystery
Along the shore upon the sand it was a sight to see
To only those who told no one a creature made itÂ?s
presence known
Chieftains bowed their heads in awe and called it
Ogopogo
Refrain: Ogopogo go away that is what the fishermen say
Tearing up our nets all day Ogopogo go!
For many years the serpent came and filled the land with wonder
Until one day they spoke itÂ?s name and the creature went back under
I donÂ?t know just what I saw, it was big and it was scary
I wish IÂ?d brought my camera. Ogopogo go!
Refrain: Ogopogo go away that is what the fishermen say
Tearing up our nets all day Ogopogo go!
With pressure treated hulls they came, in tiny submarines
With sonar, depth, and richter scales
Ogopogo go!
Some say a fish of magnitude, some say a prehistoic prude
But to this day it has them fooled
Ogopogo go!
