Story Behind The Song
This song was written before my wife and I were married. We were living about 250 miles apart and driving on the weekends to see each other. This song was my way of telling her how I felt about us. I sang it at our wedding reception a couple of months later.

Lyrics
Always
Verse 1
All alone on the interstate
These desperate miles that separate
I keep talling myself that it's only a matter of time
Temporarily out of touch
Does she know that I need her this much
Did she mean it when she told me she'd be mine
Chorus
The one thing that I know for sure is the way I feel inside
You've taken up the emptiness, now it's good to be alive
You give me hope to believe again
My trust in you remains
And I will be in love with you
Always
Verse 2
Call her up on the telephone
Hear her voice and it brings me home
For a moment in time the miles disappear
Pain returns when we say goodbye
Dry the tears welling in my eyes
Go to sleep so I can dream about her
