Story Behind The Song
I hurt my finger playing cello in a pit orchestra for a local show, so I was motivated to start doing electronic music again. That's the real story, honest!
Song Description
I started with a pleasant little riff in 7/4 (which is now the opening theme) and then tried to figure out where it wanted to go. The chord progressions are intentionally rather abstract, and the time signature shifts to 13/8 in the middle section. Other than a couple of REX drum loops, no samples were destroyed in the making of this piece.
