Lyrics
Let me tell you
About my new best friend Daisy
It happened so fast
I was caught off guard
We were on the same flight to Rome
I had fun but didn't really see her there
Then again, we were on the same flight to Berlin
That's when I decided to take her out
She had been cooped up for some time
She needed her space but
Seemed to enjoy my company
There she stood
All shiny and new
Not like Madonna though
For Daisy is real
Not some icon on the silver screen
That we are supposed to find desirable
I showed her Berlin for a day
We had fun and saw the sights
The art on the wall was our favourite
The next thing is the most amazing
We were both setting off on a cross European trek to the Black Sea
From this point on
We were virtually inseparable
Daisy has been totally loyal
Totally awesome
She listens to me for hours on end
She's rolled along with me
Every inch of the way
She's argumentative at times
But in a fun sort of way
If something is wrong
She lets me know
Not by complaining
But with a sound
or a sensation
She's a bit hard to read at times
But she's totally worth it
She's only had 2 break downs so far
To be expected on a trek
It took me about half an hour each time
and then we got going again
Sometimes I sing to her
and she always listens
She likes the America song with the line "Daisy I think I'm insane" - because she knows it's totally true
(insert insane laughter here)
She knows I'm crazy - about her that is!
I'm never worried about losing her
I don't think she'd ever disappear
Although when we enter Romania... you never know
There are still gypsies there
And she does have a wander lust
Daisy is partly white but mostly blue
I guess she's a mixed race
But I don't care about stuff like that
After all, we're all human
Now, don't dis Daisy
She's sensitive
After all, bikes are people too you know!
