Lyrics
The Lovely rose with her tiny thorns
touched by the wild grass stands alone
wild things grow and yet she knows
she may never go
a tame rose
Proud she stands and holds out her hand
no one can reach
alone she weeps
chorus:
and the rose can be a wild thing
clinging vines will never understand
a simple flower who opens
to the touch of a soft hand
the field begins its morning show
wild things together flow
she watches early sunlight glow
listening for the voice she knows
hearing the call she strips off her thorns
weary of the vines scorn
smooth to touch she bends
towards the wild grass
she loves so much
and she became a wild rose
among the wild things
she touched the wild hearts
and danced for all to see
