Story Behind The Song
WHY is a first person story of a girl with a high school crush that starts during Freshman year. She takes steps to get his attention and win him over - but to her surprise - it doesn't work. She starts asking WHY. During her Junior and Senior year she starts to stalk him - in the cyber world - and in the real world. These actions have him asking WHY. In the bridge she lays it on the line - and even when the authorities get involved - everyone is left asking WHY.

Lyrics
Verse 1
As a Freshy - You dated my best-y
Drowned you selfies - sent 100 every day
When you broke up - pretended to be choked up
Happy danced all night - wanted it that way
As a soph-more - you and I talked more
Dissected every word - for what you meant to say
Then a three word text - "I'm over you" came next
My eyes popped - jaw dropped - heart stopped
Chorus
Why - Why - Why - Why
Verse 2
As a June-ya - I still pursued ya
Each day I drove my Saturn by your place
Facebook creepin - seein' who your meetin'
Like a drone - I'm orbiting your space
In our last year - drew a line real clear
Order of protection - and a side of restraint
I showed up at college - Without your knowledge
Your eyes popped - jaw dropped - heart stopped
Chorus
Why - Why - Why - Why
Bridge
I'm always lurking there - so don't you even dare - be thinking that you'll never be mine
Cause when I wake up - and do my make up - thoughts of you take up - all of my mind
And when the cops and Feds - come drag me out of bed
Thinking they got me - that its over this time
I'll sit right back - smile and relax
And they'll just keep on askin' me
Chorus
Why - Why - Why - Why
