Story Behind The Song
This was song # 18 in my '30 Songs in 30 Days' writing marathon that I wrote in January '09 - I wrote and produced a song a day. The overreaching emotion that emerged through the process was gratefulness - and this song is simply an expression of that.
Song Description
The song tells of the simple things in life - the everyday things that bring me joy - children - when I'm gone, they'll carry on.

Lyrics
18 The Life I Love
Frozen rivers
Dusty roads
Rolling thunder
Horny toads
Golden sunsets
And whipping wind
They take me home again
Life is simple
And life is free
It's here for you
And it's here for me
We're together
When times are tough
Loving life's good enough
Eating pizza
Riding bikes
Folding laundry
Taking hikes
Playing soccer
With my boys
There are no greater joys
Life is simple
And life is free
It's here for you
And it's here for me
We're together
When times are tough
Loving life's good enough
I think I'll take you
To Paris France
So we'll remember
Our fine romance
The seed of passion
That we once shared
I know will still be there
Life is simple
And life is free
It's here for you
And it's here for me
We're together
When times are tough
Loving life's good enough
It's hard to see it
The passing time
It seems to follow
So far behind
And I'm so happy to pass it on
When the life I love is gone
You'll carry on
Life is simple
And life is free
It's here for you
And it's here for me
We're together
When times are tough
Loving life's good enough
It's the life I love
The life I love
And loving life's good enough
