Story Behind The Song
I was talking some years ago to a mother and a daughter she had called Eloise. She was ten. There was some debate where the name came from. I assured them it was French and told the girl I would compose a little Song for her. She is now approaching her French O levels and I hope her French is better than mine.

Lyrics
I was walking in Paris one fine summer day
When my sweet Eloise she came walking my way
And deep in my heart I could feel something stir
She laughed at the way I was looking at her
Eloise, Eloise, O my sweet Eloise
Tu es Belle et toujours je t'adore
And I knew form the start you would live in my heart
Ma Cherrie you would be more and more
And my Mademoiselle I am under your spell
Toi et moi c'est l'amour, c'est la vie
If you say au revoir then its je ne said pas
I'd be lost without you Eloise
When we meet and I say Eloise enchanted
People scoff regarded il est fou
Mais je chante et je danse and I leap with romance
And I laugh because your laughing too
And whatever you do I will keep loving you
Tous les jours, tout l'annes, ah mais oui
C'est si bonne Eloise, we belong Eloise
Sil vous plait, Eloise, Marry me
Eloise will you please marry me.
