Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after I left my home town and realized that it was still very much a part of me and that I missed it.
Song Description
Originally recorded in 1990 on a Fostex 4 track analogue. I had the 4 track tape converted into digital and dropped it into my Garage Band. Created new drums, bass and lead guitar. Acoustic guitar and vocals are all original from 1990.

Lyrics
HOME
Words & Music by John Ross
Home there's maple trees and evergreens, that's my home
Home where waters clean and grass is green, that's my home
Home where momma cried and daddy tried, that's my home
Home far memories still part of me at my home
I've been to places
I've seen a million faces
When can I come home
I've sailed the waters
Cool waters
When can I come home
Because I've been around
And I've seen a lot of things going down
Home wild teenage years and dating fears, that's my home
Home hot summer days and northern ways, that's my home
Home where's Davie gone, he still lives on at my home
Home far memories still haunting me at my home
I've been to places
I've seen a million faces
When can I come home
I've sailed the waters
Cool waters
When can I come home
Because I've been around
And I've seen a lot of things going down
Home a restless day, I had to get away from my home
Home I never knew the sky was blue at my home
Home I left behind a good friend of mine at my home
Home fond memories still follow me at my home
I've been to places
I've seen a million faces
When can I come home
I've sailed the waters
Cool waters
When can I come home
Because I've been around
And I've seen a lot of things going down
